No worries Craigalea, thanks for your kind words.

Hanna came through a marathon 11.5 hour operation yesterday and has had her lung and part of a vein removed. The last I heard she was in recovery, awake, smiling and in no pain. The family are in no doubt that the hand of the Lord has been at work. Thank you to everyone who offered prayers, but please don't stop!! Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery and that Hanna's body will be kept free of this awful disease.

Im not one for prayer but if Hanna has enormous self belief and willpower she will be a surviver.
from what I have seen of the big C once you have had it you spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder to see if it is lurking in the shadows.
If she can face the elephant in the closet she will be fine.

Hanna is home!! She got home yesterday (Wed 8th July 2009) and would have been out of hospital earlier but for a wee infection she picked up.

The Doctors and Nurses simply cannot believe how quickly Hanna has made such tremendous progress. Say what you want about self belief and willpower, we BELIEVE that this is the power of the Holy Spirit as a direct result of the prayers of Christians around the world including those who contribute to this forum, THANK-YOU!!

Please continue to pray for continued healing and freedom from pain and infection.

Hi Moores AF, Hanna is doing brilliantly! She was at church on Sunday past (our wee woman's baptism) and looked brilliant!!

I was chatting to her Mum one day in the supermarket and she was telling me that everyone (doctors, nurses, consultants, Marie Curie people, ect.) simply cannot believe how well Hanna is doing, how quickly she is recovering, how strong she is. The family and our wee group of believers who met, and still meet, to pray have no doubt that this truly is a direct answer to prayer, so thanks everyone for your efforts, we have a gracious and wonderful Saviour and God who hears and answers our humble prayers, praise be to Him who is enthroned on high!!

Now, we have another young lady who is in need of prayer in Markethill Presbyterian Church. Carla Higgins is about 16 years old and has developed a peculiar condition in her knees whereby her muscles are detaching from the joints and her knees continually and repeatedly dislocate causing poor Carla horrendous agony. Carla has undergone physiotherapy, which is strengthening the muscles but still not solving the problem. she was wearing 'braces' on the knees, but they caused more pain and her knees still popped out of joint anyway. Her parents (Jeff and Elaine) have been brilliantly strong for her, they've got a special wheelchair, a stair-lift and a 'banana board' which allows her to transfer from car to chair and from chair to a seat with relative ease. Surgeons do not seem to be able to give her any options for 'treatment' mainly because her joints are still developing.

Please pray that Carla will have freedom from pain and discomfort and minimal ammounts of dislocations. Pray that a solution may be found and that something positive would happen for this young girl, who is a shining example of Christian faith to us all. Pray for freedom from depressing thoughts, which plague Carla, pray for strength for her Mum and Dad and her wee brother Ryan as they try to meet her day-to-day needs.

Hi all. Please urgently pray for Willie Wilson. He has been troubled with a bad back lately, and it turns out he has bone cancer in his lower back, which as some of you will know, is a relapse of the 'big C' for poor Willie (not sure where he had it or what form it took last time).

As far as I know Willie has started treatment, I see he's still advertising sales as usual (typical Willie!) but I know he was only able to sell a couple of animals at Maxi Lendrum's dispersal (Cleen Herd) at Enniskillen mart a few weeks back.
