Cricket
Smous, rugbys now done and gone, how do you fancy your chances with the cricket against England.
After a couple of frankly very easy series against WI and NZ, England could do with a check to see how far they really have come.
Looking forward to seeing Harmison and Jones on your hard bouncy wickets.

Re: Cricket
Plenty of cause for concern with England if the papers here are anything to go by.

Re: Cricket
After day 2 I nearly put up a post saying that other than the occaisional destructive burst from Ntini I couldn't see how SA were going to stop England getting into a winning position both for this test and throughout the series.
Then England decided to open the door again. Butcher and Flintoff threw their wickets away. Nice to see we still no how to manage a good collapse. The scores from Giles, Jones, and Harmison ought to embarass some of their colleagues. (good job Harmisons batting is OK cause he seems to have left his bowling arm at home)
Pollock is still high class and Ntini is outstanding on occasions, but inconsistant. Like the look of Steyn and can see why Allan Donald would rate him, but he is still only learning.

Re: Cricket
The likes of Lamb and Hick (Zimbabwe) played for England whilst their own countries weren't involved at test level. We even let Robert Croft play, and he's Welsh!!! I think Strauss has lived back in England since he was about 2, so there's no real issue with him.
The man in the team with dodgy credentials is, I think, Geraint Jones. Did he not grow up in Australia and go through the Australian youth acadamy before playing for England. He might need ear plugs next summer.
Question only, not pushing a point, did Kepler Wessels play for Australia, then re-qualify for SA once they were allowed back into test cricket?
And Bullpen, didn't the Welsh RFU get into a mess a few years back for trying to recruit any Kiwi who could spell Cardiff?
