Re: Brunner Mr Top*RC
You're a bad dude, but you'll catch on. If'n you're not a slow learner. You should have said how much you like Oman first, then told us of this bull. Give Allen B. a big hug for me, I haven't seen him since his wedding.

Re: Brunner Mr Top*RC
One of my family members suggested we use this bull but Goldwyn x Talent = No thanks Best of luck with the bull though, looks like this trans american deal has some nice pedigreed stuff.

Hahaha!! Maybe I can say some words about Oman; I like Oman for her health traits and his high components, that's his median suspensory that I don't like.
In my book a cow who want to produce milk year after year must have a good median suspensory, but I'm ready to use a son of Oman with a good median suspensory, that why I plan to flush a Goldwyn red carrier (from Mr. TOP family!) with Man-O-Man!
Thanks for the advice Mayjay!!

Thanks for the wishes SanHaven!
But why you don't like this crossbreeding? I want to know about your fear...

Re: Brunner Mr Top*RC
My fear is exactly that of blackreds but that is only my opinion and perhaps the talent and the family is made a bit different than most ( that i dont know either) Many times i have my own preconceived notions be it right or wrong and there are often very popular bulls i have no interest in using. Having said that i have done absolutely nothing in my career of breeding cows to have anyone ask me for advice

Re: Brunner Mr Top*RC
Yeah I agree with both you Blackred and Sanhaven, it is something of possible with a cross like that, but the bull looks correct at this point, He just receive her aAa and he looks also very correct with the aAa.
The aAa of Mr TOP are : 312
3 is for Open
1 is for Dairy
2 is for Tall
You can see more information about each number on this website: http://www.aaa123456.com/123456%20.cfm
And for my part I made this cross (Goldwyn x Talent) to obtain fantastic uddered cows!!!!

Re: Brunner Mr Top*RC
Just to say that we have asked to Holstein Association USA her preview about his gTPI and according to Holstein association USA that his genomic TPI are of +2175.
It's a very good new for breeders that has already used his semens because that would say he is the number one red carrier for the conformation with +4.76 and the number 2 for the gTPI with +2175.
