Options for a late O-man
Last year my mate and I purchased an O-man calf at a dispersal sale from a cow family that under the previous owner (previous to the guy that dispersed) had some pretty decent index's. Oman wasn't used heavliy in Aus until the last couple of years and we thought that we may still see a little interest in her from the domestic AI companies. Her pedigree reads Shottle VG 85 2 yr x Morty (89) x Rudolph (Ex)x Raider VG. The Shottle has since gone on to be Res Intemediate Champ at IDW, and the Morty and the Rudolph (12 yrs old) are still milking and looking super well. I would be surprised if the morty doesn't make Ex. Originally we thought there would be domestic interest only but now we are not sure what to do with her as she has come up with some fairly decent genomic numbers. GTPI 2225, GPTAT of 3.65 GPL 3.2
Would that make her genomically the highest type oman in the world, with a pretty decent TPI to boot, and if so does this then override the fact that she is a very late Oman in regards to the international scene and make her of greater interest for embryo's internationally, or have we missed the boat???
She is at our ET tech's facility (which is export licensed) while she is being flushed and has flushed twice to domestic bulls (13 & 7 transferred.

If she were mine I would try and flush her to a high genomic bull such as Destry, Domain, or Bowser before breeding her back to something with higher reliability, maybe sexed Planet.

Bowser
Have been trying to get Bowser into Aus but at this point in time can't gert enough interest in him to bring the required no of doses in as he is preiced rediculously. Looking at $200/unit. Sanchez, million, damion are around $80ish, can get shottle on special $40, Jeeves,Bolton, Hayden $25. Atwood $50. What sort of relative price is he available at elsewhere??

Re: Bowser
Atwood would give you udders and refinement on an OmanX ShottleX Morty. His genomics are also high and he is out of a proven family for type.

Re: …
Jackaroo, who I think should suit, Orana who I am a little more dubious about for this specific heifer due to potential bone quality concerns (putting Fabulon and Goldbullion over Oman x Shottle x Morty) even theough the bone is pretty good in the females in question I am concerned as to how much further we can go in this direction.
No Idea what her Aus index is, not losing much sleep over it either way. Page House Shoman Noni is her name.

if she goes VG and her dam is rescored higher I think there would be expensive progeny to be bought at the likes of a dairy week sale.
