Re: new proofs

Mtoto sons do not interest me. The Mtoto's we milk are fairly poor. Not enough milk, and they are short, thick cattle.

Re: new proofs

Tresor has climbed over 3.00 type in UK and his production went up as well.

For the RED breeders - Marmax went up on type and edged back on production.

Hillcrest edged up yet again on type to +2.73, Geno stayed static at +3.10 but Ford climbed up to 2.51 type and 2.70 udders with a big slug of second crop.

I think these are the main ones talked about in recent Cowtalk patter.

Yes it is me! lost my password and have to start yet again.Bob

Bob--When you leave COWTALK instead of logging off, close with the X in the corner. When you come back later to COWTALK, you will already be on, without having to log in.

Wanted to make sure you knew it was me, Big Bird. Didn't want anyone to think I was being sneaky.
Its my duty to keep you all informed on the latest news from my camp. Plenty of other companies bulls get lots of airing too. Have to redress the balance now and again.

ps liked your singing at the Cowtalk concert!

Re: new proofs

Markwell Kite went up 150lbs of milk to -74lbs. He is now 2.93 for PTAT.

Stormatic dips 55 TPI points.

Semex has a Durham son with a proof Spring Dream DJ. The first one I have seen.

Whether its type or index the bottom line is that all must milk.

Re: new proofs

ford seems to be doing well, we have a few in calf heifers by him. is anyone milking heifers by him and how are they doing.
i'm probably going to annoy some of the show minded by mentioning manfred, sons are all over the US ranking. we used o-man for one flush but he is too expensive for normal use. has anyone seen another son that might be a possibility for comercial use.

Re: new proofs

Ricecrest Mazda and Keystone Potter look decent sorts of bulls. Both are early type proofs with Mazda best on type and Potter best on production. However when you think of the parental drag, they have to overcome with Manfreds type proof they look like they could be real useful. Both are at Accelerated.

Re: new proofs

great to see Jocko doing so well in just about every country
we have used him alot and will continue.
i have been looking at Ricecrest Murphy as my "commercial" Manfred son, assuming a huge price isn't slapped on him.
