Encore
How did Encore work for everyone else? For us he was very hit and miss he threw the fancy one but yet he gave us quite a few pickles too. I was once told the same thing by a semen salesman who used to work for Sire Power that Encore was the most hit and miss bull he had ever come across. How did he work for everyone else?

I would agree on Encore being hit and miss. I was once told by a breeder who I consider one the best that Encore was the most aggravating bull he ever used. He never could figure him out. What I have found is that no matter what the daughter looks like breed her like she is Adeen or Ashlyn and she will give you a good calf. Phenotypically they may not be there, but genotypically they seem to be great to breed from. Pay attention to what Encore's granddaughters look like, they often carry his best traits forward even if the dam did not show them.
