Re: aAa UK

I am on my way to Jersey Island. This evening I will do a presentation about the aAa breeding guide. Tommorow and Saturady I will be analysing quite a few Jersey's.

The breed society invited me over to tell them more about aAa. I really look forward to see the cows on the Island. That popuplation is according to my information closed from outside genetics for the
last 150 years.

Be sure to update us on how the animals look there. I'd sure be interested.

Re: aAa UK

I liked the cows on Jersey. They are in general Dairy, Smooth and Stylish.
This will be a interesting project. Planning to go again next April.

Nice to see that without the use of worldwide genetics and with a lot of natural service you still can create a healthy functional population. Maybe this population can function as a outcross source for other jerseypopulations.

Re: aAa UK

Just back from my second visit to Jersey Island where I analysed about 600 cows. Really interesting project. Because the Island was closed for 200 years from genetics outside and with the use of natural serving bulls you can find per herd a different sort of animal.

From now on, we agreed, I will go there once a year.
