Debut of Art-Acres Win 395 at HHH show

At the HHH show, which will be held in Zwolle on the 5th and 6th of November, Holland Genetics is planning to show a daughter group by Art-Acres Win 395. It is the first time that daughters of Win 395, who are now in their second lactation, will have be paraded.

Since his initial proof in November 2003, Win 395, a Winchester from a Patron who originates from the Art-Acres Tex family, has moved steadily up the list improving his milk, protein and durability figures.

Milk, strength and quality legs & feet are his trademarks. He is one of the breed leaders for milk (+2192 kgs), daughter fertility (103) and legs and feet (113). Win 395 daughters are natural milkers. They are strong cattle that keep a surprisingly good condition score considering the amount of milk they are giving. An added bonus is that they get back in calf easily. Win 395 is also very easy calving and his daughters have excellent temperament.

No he is housed in the US, but tested in the Netherlands

His second crop is not even here yet, and this bull has dissappeared.

I still like him and he still is one of the best foot and leg bulls of the breed...but.. he needs protection on udders and they are not big but quite long. Although they have level rumps the thurl setting is perfect and therefor their locomotion is also very good.

They won't win shows but commercial dairymen will love them.

Have a look on our website (www.hg.nl). In the sire catalogue (can be found under Sires in the drop down menu on te left hand side)you can view a movie with the Win 395 daughters at a progeny showcase (click on the view movie icon, can take a while to load).

Maybe we should discuss him again when his second crop is milking, and he is not hampered by any Interbull conversions.

I must admit that I never even bother opening the file with the Dutch Interbull proofs. An absolutely useless list. Country of origin proofs tell you a lot more and make a lot more sense.
