February Proofs
Interim and pre proof data from italy shows Boss Iron to be on the climb for type with second crop. He is already top type bull in Italy - looks like he will increase his lead this time.
Tresors information looks stable - in fact just edging up again.
Quite excited by Duplex (Durham x Emory x Henkeseen Hillary) early info from Spain - it will be interesting to see how he pans out around the globe - He needs more daughters before you can go gung ho but he looks very promising for type.

We co sampled Zenith in the UK and I have to say, this bull is impressing me. Every day, I am seeing more and more calved out. They are silky stylish and look like they are going to keep developing into real cowmakers.
He climbed on type this time to +3.11 - now with 200 dtrs in his type proof from USA, Canada and UK. They are tall, dairy with great rumps and tops. He has gone minus on foot angle but up in the UK on F&L - must be good mobility scores on his UK daughters?
His first 30 2yr old daughters scored in UK have made 1 x VG87, 2 x VG86, 6 x VG85, 10 GP84, 4 GP83, 5 GP82 and 2 G77 which is a really high average (93% GP82!! or better)! I really like them. Here is his Semen World & HUK webpage.

Afraid not. Still very little on Chest width in final calculation. Still mainly angularity and stature.
+3.00 on stature will give you 0.57 towards your final score
+3.00 angularity will give you 0.59 towards final score.
+3.00 chest width will give you 0.12 towards final score

I have just edited/ updated Zeniths daughter scores above. He now has 30 scored. I have never seen a young bull random tested with such a high average before. He may have got some use on some decent cows but then again I can't imagine any young sire would have been first choice on the top end cows of anyones herd.

in oz he was marketed as a "super sampler" and as such his semen price was twice that of normal progeny test which pretty much rules out the run of the mill grade herd usage.we used 40 straws but never got a heifer.
and yes we are silly enuf to mate our best/highest classified cows to progeny test.right now we have calves being born from an empire(brokerxencore from budgen) son of a 89 point astrojet.
we have been known to flush with progeny test semen too.
