Re: Magor Bolivia Allen
We used his full brother as a test sire. We have one heifer, and i don't think i'd touch the bull again.

Re: Magor Bolivia Allen
He was sampled in the US and has a proof here. I think he has about 90 daughters in his production proof and and 34 or 35 in his type proof. He is over 3.7 for type and I believe over 600 or 700 lbs. of milk (I looked at his proof the other day, but don't remember exactly). He is also +.15 for fat test. I wish he had more daughters in his type proof, but at least he is something different, and I do like Allen.

Re: Magor Bolivia Allen
Goldwyn out of Allen is supposed to be one of the better crosses out there right now. I like the sounds of it, but i'm not a fan of our heifer at all.

Saw a milking daugher at the World Ag. Expo in Semex's "Walk of Fame" that was a nice cow. She was more dairy than what I was expecting. Not sure who her dam was by. I picked up a a rack of him, but I'll wait until the next proof run before ordering any more.

Magor Bolivia Allen
We're milking a pair of Bolivia's right now. Really nice cows, deep ribbed cows with strong attachments, but below herd ave and pushing 200 DIM and not PG yet..... They are photoed out on Semex's website.

Magor Bolivia Allen
what are the pedigrees on those two trento? The bull intrigues me as I'd like a little Allen influence. Thought he might be useful to add some substance to Durham and Roy blood.

The 85 pointer is out of a course Outside that went 85 and the other one is from a pretty plain Louie that we sold after calving.

Re: Magor Bolivia Allen
I am watching this bull...I think I might take some when he will become available in Italy. Eared he is going to be availble soon...I hope so.
I think Allen x Baler Twine could be one of the best matings for that family. I love my Goldwyns just would like them to be more strong and having stronger F&L, I do believe Allen could bring this with his blood.
To be use on wide rump cows I guess...Durham is ok to mee as cross, not sure about Roy.

Re: Magor Bolivia Allen
A lot of the females from the family are ery sharp and dairy, but Reggie on Baler Twine seems to be a similar mating to Allen-big strong robust offspring with good feet and legs..
