Windy Knoll View 4 Aces Shottle/Pledge

Accelerated has a Shottle son of Lou and Toystory's full sister, I don't know how available he is. I ordered him a shade late and did not get any of his intitial release. Rumor is he may show up on the Winners Circle flyer this time.

I have a calf by Moline, who is a Shottle son of Frosty's full sister. A straight calf about a month old.

If you want to go the index route Allstar Genetics has a Shottle son, Elliot, of Elita the number 1 CTPI cow.

There are more out there but those are the ones that have jumped out at me.

Re: Shottle sons

Shottle young sires are a dime a dozen, I flicked through the pedigrees on the WMS program, Select have a heap:

Fly Higher Flintstone: x Durham Frisky x Juror Faith
Eastview Ernie: x Durham x Emory
Hendel Madison: x Durham Mitzi x Manfred
Regancrest Braxton: x (Durham)Barbie x Juror Brina
Windsor Manor ZA Sword: x Blitz x Rudolph Z
Lincoln Hill Shot Laser: x Ito Nibbles x Airliner
Golden Oak Real Deal: x Throne x Ford
Krull Shottle Encrease: x Durham Encrease x Skychief (I think there is a Broker of some distinction further back)
Sandy-Valley Banana: x Stormatic x Convincer
Muranda Shottle Lad: x Lord Lily x Bellwood
Pine Shelter Cabernet: x Pine Shelter Cheyenne
Spring Star Olympus: x Ocean View Durham Jewel

etc, etc, etc . . .

Is that a problem? I look at it as a strong outcross on Bell lines, like Durham, Bellwood, and BW Marshall. Should drop the pins and provide substance. I have 17 cows in calf to 4 Aces. The first are due at the end of March. So it is either brilliance or sheer insanity.

Well as a famouse proverb goes "Impossible is nothing" emoticon.

Personally I wish I had bought more Shottle back when it was 85. I have 3 units, and one heifer due in April to shottle. She is a Bosside RubenXRubensXOutsideXBelltone.

Re: Shottle sons

We will have calves in june by a shottle son of pooley bridge storm jane 2, multipule class winner at idw. Most companies seem to have some shottle sons, abs had 12 or more in their spring young sire team.

Re: Shottle sons

It is quite unfortunate. I have a full sister to overtake. She is a really nice heifer just lacks size and the polled gene. I am going to breed her to Baldus David for a guaranteed polled calf though. Provided i gan get the semen. Then im gong to move out as far as i can from that family.

Shottle sons

They tend to have balls. 8 calves 2 heifers.

As much as you can tell from young calves they are nice. I can tell you they tend to need assistance at calving. They are above average size wise. Heads tend to be a little big, and wide. Marked like either Shottle or Pledge.

Saw on Holstein Worl that Price-View was Premier Exhibitor and Engleking was Premier Breeder. Jr. Champ was from Price View. Seemed Prices dominated the heifers more than Penicks. Seems Englekings always wint he Breeder banners in indiana.

I always theought Lowell was a straight shooter and wins with what he wants. Not typical for an "AI guy".
