I'd have to say Pledge, without a doubt. Second would nearly have to be Comestar Lautamie Titanic, index and type together is hard to beat.

Yeah, Pledge would be incredible, I think I'd like a Goldwyn from Pledge. And Lautamie Titanic...I think I'd like a Shottle from her. Oh, and if Budget isn't a problem, Clone something left from Debutante Rae if thats possible.

Yawn, each to their own I suppose, I'd like a Shottle or a Ramos out of Southland Dellia 101, (VG88 Oman x VG88 Adam x VG88 Lucky Leo.)

Edit: Why? Something different, she is my favourite Oman, being really fancy with a snug shallow udder, she made over 11k with good solids at 2y2m. My first choice on her for daughters would be Durham, but that is moot, unless they export her to the States. So I'll settle for a Shottle or Ramos. As far as I know Select has contracted her for sons.

Seeing how Apple is up for sale, if you had the bucks id buy Apple herself. Then id giggle alot..

Actually, id like the shottle out of redrose that is up for sale at the Global Glamour sale. She is RC, which would open up two lanes. You could head down the Index lane, or you could try for something red, either way you could do quite well.

I saw one this spring, was a nice calf. Had the same makeup as that family does. Wide, square rump, good legs. Her name was Peace, and she went for 55,000 to Richard Green at the March Madness sale.

Really interesting to see the different choices of people, all good choices so far.To me, SCIENTIFIC DEBUTANTE RAE and MD DELIGHT DURHAM ATLEE are head to head. Both were show impact cows that people will remember forever , both are from Durham, wich to me is very important to have this impact bulls somewhere in my pedegree , both have really good index ,and both are from really deep family that have an impact on the breed.

Just had a bull calf born out of Atlee by Goldwyn, will test it ourselves in due course.
Fingers crossed for a heifer, although 3/4's of it is sold already!

Besides the obvious choices of Plege, Debutante, Redrose, and Balertwine I am going to go with a Baxter or Armstead out of Ocean-view Ito Jewel. I consider Jewel to be a cow that is the complete package. Show type, index, and a great health trait sire stack. Edit: I maybe showing some California bias on this one.

If budget is not a problem why buying only one calf from a cow, I would rather buy 10 from 10 cows.

First I think you meant Altitude and not Augusta.
Second I proposed to you a Durham RC from this family and you said you were not interested...

Something from Ocean View manel Zandra. She just seems to pass that udder onto all of her progeny.

I think Dundee X Durham X Zandra would be the best for me. Maybe Allen thrown in there could be interesting too, she does seem to lack front end.

Posal,I am agree with your comment of 10 calves from 10 cows but the purpose of the question was to find your favorite cow of the breed that you wish having a calve from.Your answer is welcome.

Thanks, Have a nice day , Debutante

Besides some of the names already mentioned I would include Wabash-Way EmilyAnn-ET, Snickerdoodle, Veronica, and Sunnyisle Colby Twilite.
