As a selection tool of young bulls it is far better than selection at parental averages. So that's an improvement. To test high amounts of young bulls for genomics, big AI's have to reduce costs in other parts, so reducing the number of young bull that wil be proven is likely. With higher expections of succes rate of young bulls, this is the way to do it.
Syndicate proven bulls have similar reliabilities, but it is far more imaginable that their daughters are preselected or have a preferential treatment, so I would prefer to use a genomic tested young bull than a sydicate tested bull.
Presentation of genomic tested young bulls should not be mixed up in a list with daughter proven (and genomic tested) bulls, because the scale of breeding values is different because of the overestimation of genomic parental averages. However, when focusing on a list of genomic tested young bulls, you should be able to recognize the ones with high possibilities after their progeny will be tested (Atwood, Destry etc).

You still do not reply, I am using genomic informations. The question I have is... If I pay 0€ for a 40% Rel Pedigree Sampling Bull and 10€ for a National over 90% Proven Bull, how much should i pay for a Genomic Bull?
Let's make the math:
40/90=0/10 so I can say that starting from 40% every 20% i pay 2€. That's sounds a reasonable price for Genomic Bulls,

It appears to me that genomic tested unproven young sires are extremely over priced.Some of the figures also appear awfully unrealistic even if you halve them to take into account dams genetic contribution to the resultant calf.

I think you guys are all being way to negative on genomics. They are a great tool and are going to have the oppurtunity to really expedite genetic progress by identifying earlier the great heifers and bulls. Just based on Super and Freddie, two bulls that jumped to the front of my mind, their proofs have risen since more daughters have been added in. I understand that this is a big difference from breeding that has been largely used, but genomic bulls like Aftershock and Jet Bowser deserve more than to just be used on problem breeders.

I already sampled for genome over 30 among Heifers and young Bulls, So I am not way to negative.
I consider genomic to be a usefull tool and that it will turn trustable more and more with time, but I still doubt of 80% Rel Sampled Bulls and Genomic Expertes say that Genomic at current date gives a 60% Rel.
I would have my whole herd Genomically tested before cattle turn 2 months old, and probably in the future I would do it, but should I trust Genomic Proofs even more than a Regular proof? Not YET!

Studs will have a higher success rate? will they? Surely its all relative. Last time I looked, the top 50 TPI bulls contained 50, i dont think this will alter. The standards MAY improve, but the strike rate wont
