I've got three milking. As his proof would indicate, they are some of the best milking heifers I've had in a while. One didn't have a problem getting pregnant, another didn't until she aborted (but stuck on the next service), and the other I've bred seven times without a pregnancy.

I'd say they mine are shorter than his proof would indicate but otherwise they look pretty good. Have some more on the way.

He is still available. My Accelerated rep tries to get me back onto him but I can find loads of milk with bulls with better health traits.

Milking 5, a couple are having a fair crack but not quite as wet as I expected as a group. Not as tall as linear either. Bone quality through the canon's and hocks is quite good though they tend to lack angularity and have that rounded kind of shape to them over the rump and in the rib etc. Udders are attached much bettter than I expected both fore and rear though a 2 have a little more volume to them than ideal. Ligament and teatplacement is excellent without exception and temperametn is also very good. Health traits aside a pretty decent bull that lacks the style to go beyond the paddock

Marion is kicking butt in TMR areas locally. One herd owner says they have found the golden cross: Marion x Oman, they have had two daughters finish with 15 000 kilograms in first lactation and take to first service. Production wise they have had the greatest impact in their herd since Blitz, (if you go to the photo gallery page on our website: www.wwsires.co.za and click on Freestate Cows you will see proffesional pics of two of these Marion daughters, one of their O Man mums and a great older Blitz cow. There are also other first lactation Marion daughters in their working clothes.)

Visited a high index herd two days ago and saw a Marion from a cow family that has put many bulls into the system with the first 3 all graduated in the last year. She is by far and away the best 2yr old the family has produced physically to look at. Tremendous scale and witdth with lovely bone, very well attached udder with a great ligament. The best bit, her 1st 5 tests have all been around 45kg, tested last week with 50.5 kg @ 180ish days and all this in a grazing environment. She is out of the box and then some.
