It seems that Bonnet's set hasn't changed from his solo gigs two years ago since I last saw him.

My mom and sister saw the Kuopio gig 5.6 and my sister said that Turner's version of Perfect Strangers was appalling.

I don't particularly like Turner's version of PS either, but at least it wasn't a whammy bar wank fest like Morse-era DP's! emoticon

The only completely unnecessary track was HS. They didn't play Street of Dreams, which was a shame. In that kind of stuff JLT's at his best. The new (?) track, Blood Red Sky was actually very nice.

Some of the Bonnet's Alcatrazz and Achenker tunes weren't brilliant, but overall, both were very good. It is obvious JLT has gigged a lot more than Bonnet. The latter was a bit rough as a performer. Having said that, I'm amazed the veins in his neck didn't burst open - unbelievably hard singing!

As much as I respect Turner as a musician, he has got no business doing Perfect Strangers or Highway Star (even if he, for a short period, was the singer for Purple Rainbow). He's done a lot of great solo stuff, so why can't he pick some songs from his own recordings?

Both Bonnet and Turner come off like they want something they can't have anymore...

Desperately grasping for the bygone glory years of each artist.Kind of pathetic but to each his own.I've always loved Bonnets' voice and really wish the man had had more mainstream success in his career. The Alcatrazz material has never really turned my crank. Not to mention that it hasn't aged well at all.Sounds like middle of the road 80's schlock.CHEERS
