Far out and freekin' mate I have not seen these before, they are fantastic thanks for posting them.
I have got a complete set of the purple shaded photo of Ritchie (raise your hats and your glasses too). They were taken by a good friend of mine in the UK Tonny Steenhagen, they were shot backstage at the Hofstra University gig 1973 if my memory serves me.
Thanks again old chap, appreciate them.

I love the artistic 'self-reference' in that picture, Ed, as there are at least two Deep Purples, or should we say that picture contains at least two images of DP - the one on Gillan's shirt (remarkably a group photo), and the band in front of that image, displaying an alternative shot of the group.
