I'll be in Verviers too, and I appreciated FUNK quite a lot too. Not everything is great, but all in all a good album, way better than GTBB for me !!

Apropos Verviers.
May I give you a little little reminder?

Re: Funk
Has this album been released in the United States yet??
I looked for it but couldn't find it at either Best Buy or FYE music store.
I did find a remaster of 7th Star, which sounds pretty good!
Anyone know when FUNK is out in the U.S.?

Yeah, I couldn't find it in CDWorld or Coconuts, either (I'm in NJ).
It's available online. Try the NEH Records site, where it's listed for $16.99

Re: Funk
After about 7 or 8 full listens, along with a few more "pick n' choose" listens, I'm really digging Oil and Water (my so far fave of the bunch), Too Late to Save the World, Crave, F.U.N.K and Love Communion.
Never Say Never and We Go To War will probably not be far behind on my "must listen" list, while the remaining 4 tracks will likely need some time for me to come around on, if at all.
All in all, another solid output by Mr. Hughes. A few staples for the live show, a few more listenable tunes and a couple of "skips", IMO of course.

Re: Funk
It's a good album overall for me, but I preffered "M4TD" much better.
I got nothing against funk but I like it in a much more lightweight form, like on "Play Me Out".
On "Funk" Glenn's somewhere in between funk and heavy rock which, I think, isn't a good mixture as it's a bit boring at times.
Plus "M4TD" had richer arrangements.

Re: Funk
I agree, the album's good but the last couple of albums preceding it are better.

Re: Funk
The album's good. Agree last two are even better. Used just absolutely fall in love with his albums but that hasn't happened since SITKOR.
