Classic FM 9/2/2008
Heard a peice from Jon's Durham Conc. on the radio today. At the end the announcer said that Classic FM will have a documentary about the peice this coming Saturday (9/2). No time given I'm afraid. It will go through how the idea came about and leading to its eventual fruition - they didnt say but I would imagine it has to include interviews with Jon?
Classic FM seems pretty big on this. I didnt realise that the Liverpool orchestra that recorded the album with Jon that has just been released is actually sponsored by them, so Jon could be on a winner here!!
Update:
This is now scheduled for Sunday at 4pm

Re: Classic FM 9/2/2008
This will be available on the Classic FM web site for the next seven days.
Go here:
http://www.classicfm.co.uk/article.asp?id=363757
and click the big LISTEN AGAIN button. In the player window, select "Last Show: Hall of Heroes", then select "10/02/2008". Sit through some commercials and news and the next voice you hear will be Jon Lord.
--- The End of the Road -- Issue #48 of Heroes (the comic book without pictures) now on line.

Re: Classic FM 9/2/2008
I got distracted by the prospect of "Breakfast with Mylene Klass!"
Jon must have been thinking of The Simpsons - "...I'm Troy McClure..you might remember me from such films as...."

I think it must be very difficult to be both the interviewer and the interviewee, so to speak. The advantage is that it cuts out a blathering interviewer and gets more of Jon's own thoughts in, but I imagine it must feel quite awkward talking about oneself in that way.
