Summer proms
Jon Lord's web site (and thehighwaystar.com) have concert dates listed for Jon in the summer at Weston PArk and Castle Howard, with the programme to include The Durham Concerto and The Boom of Tinkling Strings.
But if you look at the venues' web sites, they don't mention Jon Lord. Those dates are outdoor "summer proms" events, with various popular classical works, film music, and typical last-night-of-the-proms flag-waving music.
That doesn't mean Jon's music won't be played, but I would be surprised to see an hour-long "unknown" piece included on that programme. And I'm surprised that two of Jon's pieces would be played.
So at the moment I'm a bit puzzled...

Re: Summer proms
I shall have to look out for this as Weston Park is just down the road for me.
Could I stand a whole afternoon with Classical snobs sitting on their check blankets sipping champagne and eating cucumber sandwiches?
I'll break out the green wellies and fill a couple of champers bottles with cider. They'll never notice
