What are the specs of the Japanese sig. model's necks? nut width, radius, and the thickness of the neck (I really don't know what this is called).

Thanks!!

Some stuff on the guitar (note there are two links to 'details'). The site is a pain to read because tof the background, but highlight them and you can see the specs.

But I know there are posters here who actually own a copy... which reminds me of seeing one, years back, in Helsinki with a very reasonable price. I heard that it had been sitting in the shop for quite a while. I then decided to call them and hold it for me. They had sold it the day before!

Here's link to the Fender Japan Specs and a host of pictures of the Blackmore Signature from a UK Seller. The only thing wrong is that the nut width is 40mm on the Blackmore Signature, not 42mm as it says here.

Also check out the picture gallery's for these, with 100's of pictures. It's guitar porn on a massive scale!

I just bought a CiJ 97/98 model Blackmore Signature Strat through Ebay. The guitar sound' and plays great (I use it with an Engl Blackmore Signature). The scalloped neck is just genious!

Highly recommended!

I love the guitar. I bought it used Sept 18 1998 for 600 bucks from Sam Ash in Westminister, CA. I'd wanted one for months so I was very thrilled to get it. I found out later it has a bowed neck, back then I didn't know about this kind of stuff. My guitar tech has gotten it to play pretty good despite the neck problem. I haven't played it in awhile, time to. It's given me many hours of enjoyment playing along to Ritchie stuff. It's of course, as with many of these artist's guitars it's not really a direct replica of what Ritchie was playing back in the day, but to my ears I can nail his 80's sound very close with it, so I'm satisfied. The neck is not as deeply scallopped, but still allows you to pull off those Ritchie bends alot easier than a non scallopped neck. Recommended, indeed!

Ah Heaven!!!!!!!! I setup my Mesa Boogie MK4 amp with it's two by ten cabinet and played the guitar tonight, to some stuff off Strangers in Us All (Ariel, Wolf to the Moon) Stone Cold, Owed to G, You Keep On Movin, Pariesseine Walkways. It's been awhile since I actually goofed off in my garage. I gig most weekends, but I need to get back to my favorite stuff more often, this was a blast!

The Fender Blackmore Signature Strat is a good guitar but it's not a true copy of the real thing! The internal electronics are standard Fender and bear little resemblance to Ritchie's Strats and, of course, there's no secret little box of electronics in it. The scallop is wrong, Fender changed it to make it easier to play and easier to machine, the real thing is deeper, more aggressive.

Remember, a genuine Ritchie Strat, the Stone Cold Strat that Ritchie gave to Stuart Smith, sold at auction in 2005 for $75,000 emoticon

I own a 97' MIJ Blackmore Strat, and while it's a cool guitar, it doesn't come close to Ritchies guitar. I like playing it, but the pickups are too dark sounding, and the scallop is to "sterile". Overall it's a future investment, being the limited number made.
