I remember it being on tape briefly, I just don't understand why it's not coming to DVD...

So sad. emoticon emoticon

Why couldn't their 72/73 tours of Japan have been filmed as well,
or better yet, instead of this. This band had the worst luck.

Unfortunetly, it probably will be on DVD soon.

For all my defending of the MkIV line-up,this clip is indeed hideous;Tommy bombs, but at least he isn't alone.Paice and Lord must've been beside themselves, suffering through this debauched circus!!CHEERS

Probably for the same reason it was pulled. DOn't ask me, I don't know the reason, but one can guess.

It actually has some good moments, and is better than HMP which has none, IMO.

I don't know how generated my tape is, I might as well digitize it to DVD. It's widely circulated as VCD at least.

If I recall correctly, the DPAS folks said that this footage had been found - just the half-hour "Rising Over Japan" - and that they'd synch it up to the improved sound quality "This Time Around" and release it as part of a compilation DVD at some point.

Not Bolin's finest hour by far. I wish that instead of this, they would find footage from Australia of Mark IV.

Or Zephyr from the Denver Pop Fest.

Ooooer, that's absolutely bloody 'orrible, the whole thing! I would've asked for my money back at that show, and I attended the infamous Liverpool gig and they didn't sound half as bad as that! I think? Don't you think you need a tyrannt running a band, someone who can step on 'unprofessional' behaviour? I reckon Ritchie would sacked 'em on the spot!

Blackmore on Beck: Jeff Beck's great to listen to. I don't put myself on Jeff Beck's level, but I can relate to him when he says he'd rather be working on his car collection than playing the guitar.
