Thanks Rob! Well, I guess it's a good thing that someone keep these songs alive since "the source" has retired from music. He's more into discopop these days...

Wow! Sounds good too emoticon

Even if I think that Joe was wrong for Purple, he's never been wrong for this kind of music. The more "american way of rock'n'roll AOR balls to the walls".

I strongly recommend the record Fire Without Flame by Akira Kajiyama and JLT. Akira is heavily influenced by Blackmore, so the album sounds a lot like "the Rainbow album that never came to life". Very, very good album!

Still I wonder...What's the point in releasing so many solo albums if you're mostly gonna put songs on a Live album from your previous bands?
I would have loved a double cd with half solo songs and half dP/ rainbow stuff.

My idea as well, and one of my favorite gripes with bands like Dio, Sabbath, Purple, etc. Play some new stuff as well.

For the record, JLT didn't know that the show was recorded for future release until the show was done!

Yeah, but JLT's shows all seem to follow this same formula.

Well, I guess it's easier to make a living that way. His name isn't a household name anymore, so I guess he's trying to "tell" people that he actually was a part of Rainbow and Deepbow and that he has a great backcatalogue. I don't know.... Guess there's some pressure from the recordcompany too?
