So Has JLT Earned More Respect?
I use the word "earned" because it's always bothered me a little when people title topics like these with "deserve". Respect , to me, is something to be earned. Semantics, but there it is.
Anyway, what's the forum's view on this? Has he earned any more respect from people since '91?

Re: So Has JLT Earned More Resoect?
Sorry about the "glitch"! It should of course read"Respect". Damn hooves are a bit slippery today!
Maybe Niko will correct that spelling for me???

Re: So Has JLT Earned More Respect?
Overall, I'd have to say 'yes'. RB's decision to push Rainbow into commercialised dribble always left me baffled, and that side of him influenced S&M heavily. JLT was in the wrong band at the wrong time.
What he's doing now isn't a million miles away from what he's done in the past - the difference is he's a bit older, a bit wiser, and is concentrating on what he does best. The end product is now much more worthy of 'respect'

Have you worked out how to do it yet...?

Re: So Has JLT Earned More Respect?
Let me hear Ram and JLT first. By the way, does anyone know where I can get them?

Re: So Has JLT Earned More Respect?
I believe respect has to be earned and JLT
continues to earn it,my question is,just how long
does it take before he stop's earning it and actually
has it without question?

Get your point, but how excatly could Tommy Bolin earn more respect?
I still believe he deserves it.

Tommy earned his respect from Zephyr, Energy, Billy Cobham and his own band. Since his death, he has deserved that respect. Just a shame that a lot of his music has been forgotten. Hence, he deserves more respect.

I absolutely agree. I'm just listening to Snapshot. The best version of Homeward Strut that I've heard.
