JLT to tour with Turkish guitarist
It's been mentioned on the rainbow fanclan website but I wanted to talk about it here too.
JLT will be touring universities with Cem Koksal, who is a heavyily Malmsteen influenced player. To talk about Cem Koksal, I'd prefer his music to Malmsteen. I find it more melodic. It's hard to listen to quality Turkish rock, and I think Cem Koksal and his band is amazing, they have nothing less than what one can find elsewhere. Check out his website: www.cemkoksal.com
Unfortunately, they won't be playing here in Istanbul, but I'm thinking about going one of the close cities to listen. If I can I'll write a review here.
Cheers

Re: JLT to tour with Turkish guitarist
just had a chance to meeth both yesterday. both are great people, but I was amazed with JLT. I don't know anyone being this kind, sweet, chatty. I know I can't find the right words(in this situation I can't even find them in my own language!) but he was like he's been my friend for 20 years!!

Re: JLT to tour with Turkish guitarist
The DVD and the CD is out, and they're both amazing. Step back if you hate shredders though. Cem Koksal is heavily Malmsteen influenced, yet I find Koksal more melodic. Coming back to the DVD, there's a lot of backstage stuff and interviews so there's like 60+ minutes of footage besides the show itself. Other than Koksal's originals, you can find Burn, I surrender, Spotlight Kid, Perfect Strangers and SOTW on the DVD.
