Doogie Gig Glasgow
Happy New Year Y'all
I am doin a wee charidee gig in The Garage in Glasgow on the 10th Jan, with SAHB, GUN, Thunder and The Almighty.
Just gonna do some acoustic songs with Chic McSherry from La Paz at around 7:30.
No time to put a full squad together but I am sure it will be fun.
See ya there?

Re: Doogie Gig Glasgow
Interesting T-shirt Doogie. Not sure it's the appropriate one to wear when you're in Rainbow...

Re: Doogie Gig Glasgow
nice set!!
I would LOVE to have heard Love of my Life done by Doogie. Queen is my favourite band and that's one of their finest songs
care to comment on why you choose this one Doogie, and what your relationship to Queen/Freddie is??

Re: Doogie Gig Glasgow
The first song was This Boy the very first La Paz tune...ever. As Chic wrote it and was playing guitar I thought it might be fun. He is responsible for SKOW on the night and it was a bit of fun.
The reason for the Queen song is simple. We needed something that would bring the house down after 15 mins of acoustic ramblings and I thought that the audience might sing it and they did. Most people wondered who the 3 old men were sitting on the stage. We were the only ones not to get a soundcheck so overall the out front sound suffered.
Next time I tell ya next time

Re: Doogie Gig Glasgow
Doogie - its that troublesome Rainbow biographer again!!
Thinking about LaPaz, Midnight Blue, and the various stuff since Rainbow, is it an appropriate time for a 'DW Anthology' double CD?
Begs me to write the CD booklet !!
