Short notice
Afternoon Fiends
I know its short notice but I got a call at 1pm today Thurs 28th from Chris Hook asking If I could fill in on vocals for his Purple covers band The Purple Project tonight at Rivermead, Reading. So if yer around?? Its in aid of Ian and Jacquie Paice's Charidee.
So it a rawkin night and a good cause.

Because the know your travel time would not allow your presence at such short notice.

Doogie's work with Yngwie has to be heard to be believed, some incredibly wicked stuff there, both live and in the studio, absolutely freaky, and complimentary to his cosmic sound... and nothing like Rainbow, even when covering them, just out of this world sounding.

I heard one song on late night American radio of Widdleview with Dougie from thier first album together and it was literally a mess and there was no way it attracted me to even give anything else another listen.It also had a clip of an interview with Doogie going on about the lp,which actually kept my attention prior to the song being played. Afterwards I wished I would have left the search function on on my car radio that night.
Same old Widdleview.
I even asked Doogie here if he had any power over suggesting to Widdleview to play something significant to which he replied that he's the boss and there's no changing him.
It didn't even sound like Doogie singing. It was much worse.

Mess = your comprehention level concerning this subject... how do I know? Because once I comprehended it through may listenings, it did click, and I do find it clinically amazing, so if thats anybody's thing, it's worth checking into.
Yngwie is an advanced guitarist beyond words, but that doesn't mean you have to like him, just deal with the fact.
