What happened to the chatroom?

I can't enter the chatroom anymore. All I can see is a blank site with a blank quad and the wellknown red "x" left side above.
Others?

Re: What happened to the chatroom?

The chatroom is a Java applet.

You may need to check your browser settings to ensure that Java and/or Microsoft VM (Virtual Machine) are enabled.

If you're using Internet Explorer (or an IE extension - e.g. Avant), go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab, and scroll down the list - you should see Java (Sun) and Microsoft VM sections. Take note of what your existing settings are, switch on the Java options, restart Internet Explorer, and then try the chatroom.

Thanx. I had to change some things, since my machine was down. All I say is: 107 incredible viruses! And useless virus-protection programs!

emoticon Now, Microsoft tells me: this version of Microsoft VM isn't contained in Explorer 6.

Bye, bye, coffee parties.

Correct, but it can be still be downloaded from a few places.

There's other Java VMs available too. I use IBM Java at home and it works fine. Sun Java is the most common.

Q: What happened to the chatroom?

A: Nothing much besides being swept out, a bit of fresh paint here 'n there, a few more reasonably comfortable pieces of furniture being added and the addition of the new 'hospitality bowls'. emoticon/emoticon
