Is it really necessary to play Smoke On The Water at every gig? Couldn't they sometimes substitute it with Black Night every now and again? God they must be bored of that song by now!!!!!

Not bad at all. I guess constant touring pays off! It would nice to know how that claimed 1M is divided. I guess biggest sales are in eastern Europe, Germany and Asia?

Not sure about eastern Europe though as there are still many pirate copies being sold there instead of the more expensive original releases...

I agree.On black market ROTD was reissue four times.But goog news is that here in Bulgaria after one year,official sales are still quite good - in one row with MIJ & Best of DP.

LOL Haven't bought ROTD yet.
But I did buy Burn on CD, tape, and even Album real cheap.
Own every studio recording except ROTD. Figured the wife would get it for me; but, so far she hasn't.
Even if ROTD isn't the strongerst DP recording it is much better then most of the stuff getting released.

An instant way to skyrocket your album is to do what Prince did - give a copy of your latest album to every concert goer. He did this a year or two ago and I believe his album hit #2 in the States. Great exposure and great marketing gimmick.
