Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
Thanks mate, great tickets. I really like the look of the Ridgefield (Ticketmaster) ticketit's a nice one.
Can I get that one then . . . Please ???
I have never seen the Morse era DP in concert before, last couple of times they played here I was busy working night shift, bugger !!
I used to have a great heap of RB guitar picks once upon a time but as time went by they get lost or my young boy tries to choke on them.
I went to a Rainbow concert here in Perth in 76 just to get a guitar pick and managed to get right down in front of RB, but believe it or not he did not use a pick the whole night, not that I could see anyway.
How do we go about exchanging address details ? By PM ?

Nice to know your exact location, never been to Perth...yet anyway, I'd love to go back to OZ someday, it's beautiful.
I'll send you a PM about the ticket.
Thanks Bill

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
Perth is absolutely beautiful, best city in Australia that's my opinion. The only thing is it gets bloody hot and near unbearable humidity some times. Winter time is very nice indeed my favourite time of the year. I was born in the UK.
Sydney is too fast paced, Melbourne is much the same but if you like sport that is the city to be in, Brisbane is very very beautiful and a very nice climate to match it, Adelaide is too quiet not much happens there, Darwin . . Dar who ?

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
Personally, I found Sydney to mimmick my hometown a bit, and it's certainly not fast paced here, compared to the big cities of America, but as an Aussie, I can see what you're saying, an uncle of mine happens to be moving to Syd... his new wife is a wild one... kidnapped his butt.

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
Hi GM
Do you by chance have any older Deep Purple ticket stubs from 1968 - 74 ? I went for a surf last night on the Net and found a few old 70's DP ticket on a site called "Wolfgang's Vault", he's got some nice old merchendise there.

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
I know the vault has some items of significance, and they serve as a fine example of the value potential for memorbillia... I have a few things in there.
Tickets stubs aren't an item I specialize in, I have all the 13 conerts I've attended around the world, plus split bands too, and a pile of all of the variety of bands I've seen over the years, so Purple tickets aren't high in numbers for me... I have saved scans of some from the net, like CalJam, and a few others, but thats about it.
I know of one ticket collector these days, and I'm not sure if he trades, or sells, or not...

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
I have a few KISS, AC/DC and Status Quo concert tickets some of which I attended the concerts myself back in the 70's in the UK and here in Oz. I swear I will never go to another AC/DC concert again, the last one I went to here in Perth I ended up with a broken jaw and a fractured eye socket from an over enthusiastic fan at the front of the stage. Most of the fans are complete animals.
This is an Unused 1973 DP ticket, one of my favourites, I have a couple of these also.

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
Nice one indeed...
AC/DC crowds are rowdy, thats for sure, but I guess you know that from a literal standpoint, fun band... I've seen some things at their shows, that will never get out of my head.(female behavior)

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
Yes indeed I too have experienced the female behaviour at concerts, it's great mate
The night I got whacked at the concert I was standing right in front Angus and two fellas decided they wanted my spot, they yelled something out to me and then next thing the lights went out and I woke in the hospital.
Do you want me to send one of these old DP tickets along with the Knebworth ticket??

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
Yes, but lets get some other stuff to make it more interesting, I wouldn't even mind, sending along a single or two...
We have to work it out, I'll come up with some items of interest and email them to you.
