Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
The story behind this ticket is interesting. I grew up in L.A. and my summer job for years was being an usher at the Hollywood Bowl. I would seat people in the box seats.
One day, (I believe in the summer of 1987) me and some buddies were kicking back in one of those boxes and I noticed the yellow edge of some paper peaking out from beneath the metal bracket that holds the wood surrounding the box seats in place. I pulled it out and found this ticket...
We had all just gotten really into "Perfect Strangers," so it was really exciting... it had been sitting up in there for over twenty years, safe from the elements... near perfext condition. I wondered what the circumstances were- I mean it's an unripped stub, so it must have been an extra one... but it was left in the box section, not the reserved section, so maybe they lucked into better seats at the last minute. Anyway you slice it, it's one of my favorite collectables and it's not for sale.
Does anyone know what DP's line up was for this show?

Yep that sure is a good story mate. I would definately keep that ticket too, but myself I would have been tempted to rip the place apart looking for spares, but thats me
I believe that Fleetwood Mac were supporting DP in the US in 1972 at most of the shows, 2 classic acts.
Hold on to it real tight

This are definately two of my best tickets, Sydney 1984 with George Harrison and Blackmore's Rainbow, Melbourne 1976.

Re: Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun
I have ticket no. 11 for the Liverpool Stadium gig in Feb. 1973! I was first in the queue, having camped out on the pavement overnight! Now, where did I put it?
--- Blackmore on Beck: Jeff Beck's great to listen to. I don't put myself on Jeff Beck's level, but I can relate to him when he says he'd rather be working on his car collection than playing the guitar.

That would be a ticket worth framing mate, it would have been a bloody freezing night too being Liverpool.
