JOENSUU,24.5-07.....Deep Purple,Thin Lizzy
Not really a review but some info.
Place:Joensuu Areena,the biggest wooden structure in Finland
Attendance:6,000-almost full,only few tickets left(if none)
Set-list:Pictures of Home-Things I Never Said-Into the Fire-Strange Kind of Woman-Rapture of the Deep-Fireball-Steve´s solo-Well dressed guitar-When a Blind Man Cries-Don´s solo-Lazy-The Battle Rages On-Space Truckin´-Highway Star-Smoke...-Hush-Black Night
Don´t know how long they played but the set list must give you a clue.Did not like TL much,feels like they are just making money-no feeling.DP was very good.Not great but very good,seen better ones.Sounds and everything were there but maybe it was the set-list which would have made it great...

I was there too. Great gig I would say. The band was full of energy and they looked like they were having fun. Gillan's voice was better than I've ever him to be live.
A friend of mine who had not seen Purple live previously said that Gillan's live voice exceeded his expectations, he thought Gillan was absolutely fantastic.
Funny that 3/4 of current Lizzy have been/are in Whitesnake. I liked John Sykes, he has a good voice and he can play guitar. 
And last but not least, I thought the arena was fantastic and the arrangement there extremely good.

Hah,there is nothing big in TTAM except his ego!But you are right about his wooden head.
And yes,arrangements around-and-in the venue went well,it is a good place to have a big event...hopefully more are coming...

Yeah, that was the pun: 'to have a big head' means roughly the same as to think you're better than others. And yes, I saw an official report his is made of wood!

a pun = sanaleikki
Tässä tapauksessa viittasin TTAM:n "isolla päällä" englanninkielen sanontaan, jonka mukaan henkilö joka pitää itseään muita parempana tai omaa ison egon on "isopäinen" (big headed).
