That concert was fantastic. It was easily the most musical Deep Purple concert since 1993. Rapture of the Deep, Knockin at your Back Door, Perfect Strangers, the Battle Rages On, plus the Well Dressed Guitar and Don Airey's solo, it was Purple majic. There is something about the design of the House of Blues and the way it amplifies Purple's music that made the concert special. This may not have been the loudest DP concer that I've ever seen, but it was easily the best as far as music output from Purple. I think as far as music goes, this Purple concert tied Slaves and Masters from 1991. Great stuff. I hope DP never retires!!

I'll second that. What a night!

Yeah, it was an excellent show. Gillan's voice sounded the best it has in years, IMO. Pleasantly surprised at the show.

I think, other than possibly the 2004 Beacon show, this was the best I've seen from them.

Radio City's going to be sweet as well.

I enjoyed this show as well. The band looked relaxed and in good form and from the opening notes of Picture's Of Home and the closing notes of Hush I was impressed. My only complaint was my seat. From where I sat Ian Paice was not visable. Ian Gillan sounded rested and better then he did a year ago on the Gillan's Inn tour.
