Liège 19/ 11
Once again I was there, and once again I left the concert hall fully satisfied!
The two last performances I've seen on this Rotd tour were definitly the best I've seen with this line up.
The band is in real osmosis again, the sound was great, the musicianship was fantastic and the setlist was concrete.
The classics (of course), the addition of Battle Rages On and Loosen my strings; the return of Mary Long, Kiss tomorrow goodbye, Contact lost and the "jukebox".
Two Ians in great shape and a Steve and Don filled with inspiration.
What else do we need? Oh yeah Roger...Well Roger couldn't sound better!
Go see them, you won't be dissapointed.
--- Bananas are good and good for ya!
Love obviously.

Good to hear you enjoyed the concert.
Can you tell a little bit more, please? How was the venue? How many people has been there?

Re: Liège 19/ 11
Great gig indeed. 5500 people, il a venue which basically a basket ball hall is. I can't really tell anything about the sound, because I was in the front row, just in front of Gillan, but I think it was quite good. The gig itself was very good, slightly better than the Olympia on sunday, with Gillan a little better, and steve much better, because he had some technical problems, especially with his amps which made some noise during the whole set.
Steve had some problem with Loosen my Strings, he still don't do it really smoothly, but still, with the nice vocals, the great bass line, and of course the amazing guitar solo, it's still a great pleasure to hear it. Other highlights included The Battle Rages on which is amazing, Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye whish is to me a real live track, were the all band goes full throttle from start to finish.

Thanks for answering my questions, Apollo. I knew you would be there.
What's about the audience? Younger than ever or mixed up? Sometimes I think they loose their old fans and younger ones are growing again.

Re: Liège 19/ 11
I'd say about the age of the audience that the average was lower than in Paris, but higher than some gigs I've seen elsewhere...
And being there, even though living 10 minutes from the venue wasn't easy, because I4m currently studying in Northern Ireland, so I had to take the plane, buses, trains, etc, but I was there, and I don't regret !! Loosen My Strings alone would have been worth it !!

Osmosis? Now there's a word I haven't heard since the 7th or 8th grade, plus I've never heard it used in such a context!
Cheers for the review!

Busy man!
Exactly that are the events which stay in mind forever. First it's a little stressy and then a wonderful (concert) end.
Reminds me on my DP trip to Hanau 1996. Sitting in the train, money stolen, passport stolen, police station, and finally an helpful organisation which payed my hotel room and borrowed a few pennys for eating. The tickets I still had. What luck! And what a concert!!
