Re: Ask Candice Night a Question
Hi Candice,
Thanks for your kindness of doing this!
First I want to praise your way of singing the songs especially 25 Years and Feary Queen on the new album. You really sound awesome on it. The 'soft' way of singing suits you very well. The chorus of 25 Years haunts me, like a calling ghost or something! But also the somewhat unusual way of singing on the Halloween song is very nice!
My question is somewhat personal:
Did Ritchie ever hear the 3 songs made by myself on the cd I packed within the selfmade book you and Ritchie got by the Dutch fanclub in Amsterdam, octobre 2005? Do you remember? Did he comment on it?
Best wishes and lotsaluv!

Re: Ask Candice Night a Question
Hail, Lady of the Moon Castle!
I appreciate a lot your music and singing, and would like to make some suggestions in the shape of questions:
1) Any chance on working along with Ian Anderson again?
2) As it was said by a mate before, some stuff of BN featuring Jon Lord would be rather an excellent work!
3) I'd like pretty much to hear one of my favourite tunes from Purple, Son of Aleric, played by BN! Do you like this one? Is there any chance of it to happen? (perhaps you could work some lyrics on it!)
4) At last: Any chance for brazilian fans to see BN in our country? Did you enjoy Brazil when you came here along with Rainbow?
Thanks for your kind attention and, please, extend to Mr. Blackmore the best regards from your fans from Brazil!

Re: Ask Candice Night a Question
Good day, Candice. *bows slightly*
I wondered whether you had any professional ambitions outside Blackmore's Night. Is there anyone you'd really like to work with? Not on a permanent basis, of course, but maybe as a guest on an album.
It occurs to me that over the years Ritchie's been at least partly responsible for a lot of songs! Is there anything from his back catalogue that you'd like to do with Blackmore's Night that maybe he might need some persuading to do?
Thanks for taking time for us, all the best to yourself, Ritchie and the band.

Re: Ask Candice Night a Question
Hello Candice,
I've got a little question too:
As you know your audience best; are there many 'youger' fans? I'm just 16, I've started to listen to Rainbow when I was 13, thats why I got also into BN and already seen you two times.
I just wounder if there are some others like myself, 'younger' people, who discovered your wonderfull music?
Kind Regards
kashmir

Re: Ask Candice Night a Question
Hi Candice,
What I'd like to ask is this: what goes into consideration when you and Ritchie chooses witch rainbow and/or purple songs to cover on your cds and Shows?
Thanks.

Re: Ask Candice Night a Question
From the recent DVD your concerts in Germany in medieval castles look wonderful. Have you ever considered doing a similar castles tour in summer in the UK?

Re: Ask Candice Night a Question
Hi Candace,
Hope all is going with you.
Is BN going to be doing anymore collaberations with Joe Lynn Turner? I hope you guys do a new song together next time.
Are there any other people who have worked with Ritchie in the past that you like to work with?
What other things are you interested in when you are not doing music or renaissance stuff?

Re: Ask Candice Night a Question
Hi Candice
As an average singer in an average band led by a great guitarist playing average music, how would you like to see the band evolve? Who would be your choice of a better singer to accompany Ritchie?

She surely would like to keep her ever age...
No, ok, sorry. My real question: on the last CD "The Village Lantern", it appears to me pretty clear (although I can be totally mistaken) that Ritchie wants to get back to a heavier classic rock (not excluding historical/traditional music elements. I refer to songs like "I guess it doesn't matter anymore", or "St Teresa", or Rainbow live covers) while you seem to take a more folkish direction on your own (listening to "Call it Love"). I also noticed that, with the time, the thematics weren't only related to past times/ages anymore (i.e. the "Diamonds & Rust" cover, etc.). So my question is: don't you think that, at this stage, BN constitutes an obstacle to your artistic evolution to you and Ritchie (in your own respective ways) or do you see the source of inspiration still lasting many years before running dry...?
