DPMkI's Accomplishments - Stunning!
By that I mean that the sheer quality of the volume of work that this Mk of Deep Purple accomplished in such a relatively short time frame, spending perhaps a maximum of 5-6 months actually in studio(s) (reportedly only 2 days for the first album!) spread out over a year or more's time; this lineup completed 20 'group' compositions and 6 cover versions (at least 4 of these cover versions being superior to any version done previously or since, in my non-humble opinion) on thier studio lps with 2 other covers seeing the light of day with the remastered editions of tyhe MkI albums in the 21st century & 2 covers assuming 'legendary or mythical' status (for lack of better words) - "Glory Road" & "Lay Lady Lay", which both remain unheard by the general public to this day...along with performing close to 100 live concerts & numerous (5?) 'live in studio' recording sessions for the BBC, this lineup created/recorded enough 'self composed' material for 2 & 1/2 studio albums (should the covers have been 'put in the vault' or released as non-album singles)...as has been said via other sources, stunning!

Re: DPMkI's Accomplishments - Stunning!
MKI seems to be the "forgotten" Purple line-up. They were a great band and are my second favorite MK, after MKII. Hush is still played on the radio all of the time and those first 3 albums still sound new and exciting today. Rod and Nick should be proud.
