New Gillan's Inn LIVE CD/ DVD
I March a new Ian Gillan live album and DVD will be out. It's from the Gillan's Inn tour in the US last year. But do we know the set list, what extras will be included - or anything about the release....?

Agreed! I hope it is a quality shoot... Some of this recent Gillan stuff has IMHO lacked tecnical quality.

Agree with that, definately. Even the original album IMO is poorly produced by Nick Blagona. What's with all the reverb/echo on the drums? It's especially obvious on tracks like Speed King. It reminds me of TBRO, as he produced that as well. The only problem is that the tracks Gillan redid were meant to be produced raw, not glossy. Just my opinion. I bought the deluxe tour edition thinking there were more than 2 live tracks added to the album, a bit of a dissapointment. I should have done my research, but when you hear "Tour edition" you sort of expect more than 2 songs.

Held over from Westwood One, thats why it took so long to get a release.
Apparently another label picked it up.

Not professionally, only this one was.
The rest of the shows they allowed cams from the fans to film.
Could be that someone filmed the whole show where Dio showed up, and if that was the Hollywood HOB then it was filmed of course, same with in Cleveland and any others, but who knows where the footage goes.
This one was filmed specifically for release, which involves 7 cameras, and a pumped crew.

Oh great another greatest hits setlist by Gillan paying tribute to himself (with songs that other people came up with) with yet more widdled-out versions of SOTW. I guess the bonus will be that we get to see his cherry red bloated pumpkinhead sitting atop his pyscho pjs looking like a candle holder trying to screech out Highway Star in some key known only to monkeys swinging from trees in undiscovered rain forests.
Opportunistic Fatcat? No...not Gillan.

My prediction is that this live CD/DVD which was suppposed to come out over a year ago, but got scrapped from Westwood One, will be the only real good Gillan's Inn retail product.
The rest is collectors faire, for the most part, just fan stuff.
