good sound and I thought Gillan got through it ok - I'm very much in the camp that thinks he cant really carry it now but he does ok here. One thing though, he comes in really strongly about 4.00 minutes in after the solo but then starts coughing. An indication he was trying too hard, driving his voice too hard. You just cant keep going on like that in a rock band that is making no adjustment to how its playing songs to account for the range of the vocalist.
Jeezuz, even Pavarotti faded in his 60's. Damn few rock singers can cope with it either. But over the piece he held it together but looked really physically tired at times.
