American Idol contestant covers 1970 Whitesnake song that...
..covers a Beatles song. The theme was Beatles week, but this contestant with a modern (alternative) rock voice did "Day Tripper" to the way Whitesnake did it in 1978.
Good to see someone in their 20s realize Whitesnake existed before 1987.

Not in America. Most people here think Whitesnake started in 1987 a few born after 1960 know Coverdale played in Deep Purple.
This guy wasn't even born in 1978 and is a fan of the early Snake.

Not bad at all.
However, like so many of these Idol competition singers, he just sounds like someone already there on the charts. I can't pinpoint just who this guy has modeled his voice after, but I've heard the original on the radio so many times before.
