Lepps v Snake
I'm old, very old. I remember, one barmy night back in 1980, watching Def Leppard getting booed and canned as they played at Reading Festival, just before a triumphant Snake took the stage. Things changed of course and it wasn't long before Leppard were huge in the US and then the world. Snake lagged behind, for a while, and then ended up on a par with Leppard, for a short time anyway.
Move on 20 years and things are a bit more of a level playing field, at least in this country. And this begs a question I cannot resist.
Who will be best on the night of these UK shows? It maybe childish but it seems to me that people will compare these two bands. So, who will it be? A man fast approaching 60 with a backing band of American wannabes or survivors from the wreckage of the NWOBHM, now in their 40's?
In the words of Harry Hill, there's only one way to find out: FIGHT!!!!

Re: Lepps v Snake
I think Def Leppard has retained some of their popularity in the United States, but isn't as popular. So Def Lep would win in that department.
However, WS always puts on a heavier rock show, so I don't care about popularity contests. WS wins for a better show. Def Leppard is boring.

Re: Lepps v Snake
I absolutely loath Def Leppard for me they are the UKs answer to Bon Jovi I also think that they are a complete waste of a fine guitarist in Vivian Campbell but then its all about opinions and personal taste I suppose
