What about Come Taste the Band ?

Do you think they will ever do an anniversary remaster for this album? One fully remastered by Glenn Hughes, like Stormbringer?

Hope so it was a great album IMHO showed what this lineup were capable of but sadly they seldom lived up to that in live performance due in the main to messrs Hughes and Bolins drug habits

Simon Robinson from the DPAS has always hinted that the multi-tracks from this album have never been located- which is frankly astounding for a band of Purple's stature at that time. Friday Music in the US issued a "remaster" a couple of years back which I bought and it actually does sound a bit brighter and polished than the original- but the remaster couldn't have been done from the original multitracks. I would love to see proper remaster of this album as it's one of my favourites.

Yeah- this is incredible- they are lost??!!! Lost forever also are the masters for Hughes Thrall- the remaster was done off mix tapes or a copy of the master or something like that. The Masters got erased....when the studio was sold. Tragic!

CTtB is a very cool album! I really like Love Child and You Keep On Movin'. I think all the Deep Purple and Rainbow releases from the 70's should be done the way the anniversary Machine Head was done: big booklet (this time with full lyrics), alternate mixes, rarities, etc.

Come Taste the band should be treated no differently.

A remastered version would be welcome, but I don't know if there would be much more bonus tracks to add, seeing as we already have "Days may come I & II".
