Scotsnake- this is awesome stuff- I've wondered for over 20 years what the version of Mistreated sounded like at this concert as this line up performed it SO much better than the 1978 released version- it's wonderful. Only DC knows why this has remained in the vaults. Ain't No love is clearly the version that was released as a 12" single back in 1980 as it's musically 100% identical to that- however DC must have subsequently overdubbed some of the vocals prior to the single release. However, this is brilliant and thanks for uploading. PS Think you introduced yourself to me prior to the WS gig in Glasgow 2004- me and my other half were sat immediately to your right. Cheers!

You are most welcome mate.

Yes I do indeed remember you both from that show.

I always thought the 12inch single had the 78 version of Ain't No Love, ah well it's only taken 26 years to clear that up emoticon

Hopefully when the remastered Live In The Heart Of The City appears it will be the whole show.

If you are intersted in a DAO copy send me a PM.

The 1980 12" version of Ain't No Love was definately from one of the 1980 concerts- it says on the sleeve "re-recorded from the album Live In the Heart Of The City", and musically is totally identical (guitar solos and all!) to the version you've kindly posted here. However, the vocals are different in places- like Coverdale has "dropped in" the odd line or two that he wasn't happy with from the live gig. I've still got the 12" single which is a fat load of use seeing as I don't have a record player any more!
