I put 'one of my favourites'.
Dream Theater are my favourite band, DP might feature in second place, but I guess I don't listen to them as much as I did a few years back...

They've always been my favourite band. I'm not so fond of the MKMorse stuff but if it's got the DP name on it I'll take notice, buy the albums, go to the gigs.
So I voted for 'Favorite'

They're my favourite band, but that doesen't mean I don't listen to other bands and other kinds of music.
The MKII line up was, for me, the best. Nothing like Lord and Blackmore on a good (even a bad?) day!

DP are my all time favourite band, but Mk2 is the reason. Mk3 carried the torch with distinction, as did the reformed Mk2 band in mid-1980s, and again in 1992-3. I've also started to admire Mk1 more over the past two decades. Mk5, Mk4 and Morse line-ups are okay, with some real highlights (ROTD being the first very good rock album by DP since TBRO), but it's the (brand) name that has more to do with my interest in the current happenings than the actual version of the band.

Dream Theater is also probably my current favorite band. Deep Purple was for many years, and if I take the historical viewpoint, in many ways still is. But I find I do not listen to them nearly as much these days.I think over-familarity is probably to blame. I like what Dream Theater does these days, and find I just like them better now.
Avenged Sevenfold is also quickly becoming a top favorite. Great band.

Rainbow 1975-1980 is my favorite band by far. But I tie Deep Purple with Black Sabbath for a strong second place.
