Most definitely my fave band. It has to do with growing up with the band, and they were my faves back then too.
However I have many other faves too of course, it's just than dP is emotional in a very strong way.

It's impossible for me to disagree with (or not like) anybody who calls Deep Purple their favorite group. I've loved their music since I was 8 years old.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Also dig Dream Thrater, Rush & Gov't Mule.
But Deep Purple were the ones who popped my rock'n'roll cherry, and I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for them

I think there aren't many bands with the music being so much dependent on the line-up as it is and was with Deep Purple. So I'm one of those for whom it depends on which Mk. "My" Deep Purple is that from Mk I to VI.
