What a crack up!! I can imagine how the
Darrell Eastlake impersonation must sound
like, that guy gets so excited. Many years ago he was commentating the weight lifting
at the olympics and they had to throw him
out because he was so loud and excited he
was annoying everyone in all the other
commentry boxes.
Poor bloke, he's so nice.
I've met a couple of the people mentioned in
the songs..
Plugger ( Tony Lockett ) races greyhounds
and so did my ex boyfriends dad. I met him a
few times at my Ex's house and at the race
track.
Plugger used to play for St Kilda, then
probably broke Eric's heart when he moved to
the Sydney Swans.
And I met Dipper. ( Robert Dipierdomenico )
Dad and I used to go to the footy a lot many
years ago. One day we were at the MCG
watching the match that was
being played before the big game started,
and Dipper sat next to me. I nearly peed me
pants This was back when he was still
playing. Dad was saying get his autograph
but I was too shy to speak. And anyway he
played for the other team. Dipper in his hey day.
Dipper now. He's a nice bloke too.
