3:10 to Yuma (2007)

I was passing IMDB again, when i saw the name of Eric put to the list of "3:10 to Yuma".Well IMDB tells us that Eric is still in talk for the rol of "Dan Evans".

Source: IMDB- 3:10 To Yuma

But don't think when IMDB says that Eric is going to play in 3:10 To yuma That its true.
It could be a lie(they have done that before with Morgan's Summit, so keep that in mind).

Besides that it could be a lie , i just waned you Grils to know that they have put the movie by his name. And lets hope its true

Enjoy.

I think the difference with this film is that he himself has mentioned he is in talks to be in it. That doesn't necessarily mean he is in (yeah, I don't know where Morgan's Summit showed up from because he would need to be mentioned in Variety and the Hollywood Reporter as being cast in it first). Oh well...

Johnny Depp should play the role of the bad guy not Tom Cruise. Another sure oscar nom for Johnny the man.

I think the match Eric and Tom is great, but i'm not saying that Johnny is not good for the part.Johnny really showed his acting in Finging Neverland and it was an great Oscar-nom.But i think the movie is nothing for him.
And i think there will be No oscars for this movie. Because its a movie that you like to see and when you see it ,you don't think about Nominations , you think about the about how Eric is going to play in the movie emoticon

Pirates of Carribean was not oscar material either but it got Depp an Oscar nom. Depp has a lot of versatility. Let him do it.

Re: 3:10 to Yuma (2007)

I am watching the original in a little bit and I will report back on how it is (it is regarded as a classic so I am not sure how I feel about a remake). I wouldn't be so sure about Oscar success either...

Okay, so I watched the film and it was fantastic. I am still not sure how I feel about it being remade but I certainly hope it is gritty like the Proposition and Deadwood (and that everyone is dirty and sweaty in it and not neat and clean like cowboys of old). Also, I would like Tom Cruise to be smarmy if he is indeed playing Ben Wade because Glenn Ford was actually very likable as the villain. Cruise in Collateral/Vincent mode might be a good fit. Dan Evans is noble and is hard on himself for feeling like he's failed his family, especially his wife, so I hope that is expanded a bit in this new version. I also hope there is profanity, ala Deadwood. Okay, I have way too many expectations I think but the original is a great film. I am a fan now.

Dirt and grime are good and given that the Westerns of late have been bloody, messy and violent I sincerely hope this is in the same vein.
