Well, I went to see TTTW this afternoon. Eric got lovier as the movie went on; some critics not giving it the best rating - they say it didn't translate well from the book.
But!!!! I don't think this will be a spoiler - the movie ends in a way that will put a tear in your eyes, but it doesn't end in the same manner as the book's ending. The ending in the book had me sobbing.

I saw the movie last night. I went in thinking that I was going to hate it. I didn't like the book at all and the reviews...well, some were pretty harsh. I was also not a fan of McAdams and I hated, by the pictures, the look of Eric's wig when Henry was younger but...I loved the movie. Eric was very good in it and Rachel McAdams was terrific. She completely won me over and I can see now why people love her as an actress. She really made the movie for me. Eric and Rachel had a good, sweet, chemistry (not hot and intense as McAdams had with Gosling in the Notebook, but very good nonetheless). I thought the acting by the little girls playing their daughter was uneven at times but they're just kids so I'm sure they did the best they could. The little gilr playing Clare is wonderful. I liked the new ending alot. Also, I related with movie Clare better than I did with book Clare. In the movie she's more level-headed (if that makes any sense). I think that the Gomez and Charisse characters could have used a little more air time, though. But really, for me, it's a good little movie and worth the price of admission.
Edit to say that the wig Eric wears didn't bother me so much. I sort of got used to it, but when Henry finally cuts the rat tail off, well Vavavaboum. Eric was just gorgeous.

I am glad to hear Im not the only one that didn't like the book,and I totally agree with you I haven't been impressed with Rachel in the interviews I have saw and I dont care for Eric's hair in this.So hopefully I will like it as much as you guys.
I will probably wait for video though because noway is hubby going to see this chick flick,the only reason I would ever watch it is because of Eric.

Haven't seen it yet, but I hated the pic's of Rachel McAdams at the premier. She looks stupid in that silly dress.
Eric doesn't look too thrilled with it all either. He's gorgeous lol.
