No, he lives on the western side of Melbourne. They are mainly to the north of Melbourne and the south (where I live)

The fires have been absolutely horrific.

These were taken fom my back yard earlier in the day on black saturday

The fires coming towards our town.

Re: Australian Wildfires

We're ok Saw. They came very close on black saturday. We had embers and blackend leaves and stuff falling on us, it was very scary. The heat was terrible 45 degrees Celsius (113 degree Fahrenheit) and there was a strong hot northerly wind.

I can still see one of the bush fires burning from the end of my street.
There is more than one fire, at the hight of the crisis there were 23 I think.
Over 200 people have been killed and 2 towns have been wiped out. There are something like 5000 houses distroyed. They still haven't been able to search eveywhere yet, and people aren't allowed to go back to their propertys because they are crime scenes. Some of the fires were lit deliberately.

It's not over yet. Tomorrow (Monday that is, right now it's 12.50 am Sunday night) is going to be another bad day they say. emoticon

I'll post more photos later, I haven't uploaded them all yet.
