Re: Hobbies
You're welcome Saw, it was a great game. Close all the way.
I bet he was upset. They haven't won a grand final in 40 + years. The Saint's supporters and players were crying. Most of them left when the siren blew.
Sorry he's so sad, I adore him........ but..
Wooohoooooooooo! Yay Cats! I'm still partying!!
He'd say the same to me if it were the other way around. lol

Re: Hobbies
I do feel for him Tina, we lost last year and it feels horrible. Hope they get another go next year.
CoolAngel, No, it's not soccer, we have that too.
Footy is our own Aussie game - Australian rules or AFL.
Footy is short for football. It's played on a big oval field with an oval ball. The players can run with the ball and kick it and tackle other players. To score they kick goals worth 6 points or a single point can be kicked too. If you look at the pic below, you'll see the 4 white poles in the bottom corner. These are at either end. If the ball is kicked through the middle it's a goal. If it goes through the poles on either side it's a point.
There is a lot more to it, but thats the basic stuff.
It's different to rugby - though we have that too - 2 different kinds. But rugby is more a northern game. AFL is mostly Victorian, but most of the other states have teams now.
