Misleading Movies!
There are a lot of movies out there that are billed as one genre, but are actually another! For example:
1. 'What Women Want'-Mel Gibson & Helen Hunt, 2000-Mel Gibson gets struck by lightning then can hear what women are thinking, therefore he understands woman now. Note what I said, he understands women because he can hear their thoughts.! Clearly that makes this movie science fiction! Men understanding women!
2. 'Cats and Dogs'-Jeff Goldblum & Elizabeth Perkins, 2001-Cats trying to take over the world, only to be thwarted by dogs. Well, this movie is clearly not a family comedy but a documentary, since cats already have taken over the world! (Yes, I'm a cat lover, dogs are okay though!)
3. 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'-Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, 2005-I can't take credit for this one, but I was at the movie rental place & someone was looking for this movie & couldn't find it. The clerk went right to action/adventure and pulled it out. The man looking for the movie said, Oh, I thought it was a comedy!
So, anyone else have anything to add to my list?

Re: Misleading Movies!
Nothing? No one has anything to add, movies that seem to be one thing but are another? 'West Side Story', 1961, Richard Beymer's Tony running through Spanish Harlem screaming 'Maria' & only one woman comes to the balcony?
Or 'Legend', 1985, Tom Cruise as Jack, Mia Sara as Lily, Tim Curry as The Lord Of Darkness, Jack tells the magical creatures that he let the woman he loved touch a unicorn. Well, they all freak out, 'What?!?! A mortal touched a unicorn, thus upsetting the balance of light & dark in the universe and destroying us all????!!!' 'But I did it for love,' Jack replies, and they all say 'Well, love is another matter,' & it's all okay?
This was billed as fantasy/adventure/romance, but it's got to be camp or something?
Please, I know you're a creative bunch out there! Give me some examples of movies that are not what they claim to be!

Oh, CoolAngel, I would love to join you in this - but you are so quick - and I can't think of a thing. Hope I do to add to the fun.

I just saw some parts of this film. Although I'm not really fond of Tom Cruise he is cute on 'Legend'. Reading your comments about it I suddenly had an insight - shouldn't it be PG-13 rated for sexual innuendo?
(Excuse my dirty, dirty mind )

Re: Misleading Movies!
This is not a misleading movie - but something that wants me to say, "give me a break!"
Hotsy totsy lady has on a short, white tight skirt - next scene she is in the bedroom with some guy and she has on a black garter belt and nylons.
Just doesn't work that way.
