Music !!

I thought I would start this thread...
so we can all share music from around the world...

Since we have the same taste in men...

We probably have the same taste in music...

Ok, I'll go first...
I just discovered this band because of Eric...
It's one of his favorites...
They are an Aussie band called Powderfinger...
I bought one of their CDs and absolutely loved it !!

I think is a very good idea talking about music...

Well, I have very,very different tastes.

I love italian music and my favourite italian singer is EROS RAMAZZOTTI. I love him and I'm a biggest fan!!! I use to go to all of his concerts. These are two of my favourite CDs and his last DVD...

Then,I like spanish music too and some months ago I bought some CDs of spanish artists like Alejandro Sanz, Fito & Fitipaldis or Joaquin Sabina

And if we talk about music sing in english I absolutely love soul music and my favourite singers are Sam Cooke,Aretha Franklin,Otis Redding and The Drifters...

As you can see my tastes are a bit strange.. emoticon

I'm always looking for nonAmerican music...
to listen too..

Since...I live in the US...it's hard to know what's good outside the US...

They don't play music here in foreign languages very much... emoticon

You really have to search for it... emoticon

I love this guy Robert Rodriguez...
It's in Spanish and he comes from Mexico...
I just love the Spanish sounding guitar...

And Mariachis bands are really popular here in the southwest...

Yes, I know it's really difficult to find european music in USA..My father's cousins live in Florida and Atlanta and they told me that if they want spanish or italian music they have to buy them by internet.... emoticon

Their new album is out in

I'm also very fond of the band Live,

Ok girls...music...I've played piano since I was very young and I went to a special music class in my school where I played cello and sang in a choir for 12 years. That's how I learned to love classical music like Mozart, Tsaikovsky, Chopin etc.
My parents were hippies in the 60's so I grew up listening to The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix etc...
Nowadays I listen to almost anything except for rap, hip hop and very heavy metal. I used to be a huge fan of U2 back in the late 80's until early 90's.
My husband introduced country music to me and now I like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Garth Brooks.
I just couldn't live without music!!!

and i also have a favourite australian band emoticon

they are called jet and they are absolutly fabulos!!!
maybe anyone of you knows the song "are you gonna be my girl?"

another band i really really like is mae.
i just discovered them on the internet the othe day and was fascinated. very lovely rocking songs.

and not to be forgotten...my heros of all time: NIRVANA

i really think they are/were the best band ever. too sad that kurt isn't alive anymore.
and you can say what ever you want. i still think he was murdered by his wife courtney. i guess i don't have to tell you that i don't like her very much emoticon
